  • Connie Brown Howard of Salt Lake City, Utah was born on October 5, 1933, and passed away on February 20, 2022 - she was 88 years old.

Connie was the only daughter of Albert Henry & Lila Hamilton Brown. Growing up with her three brothers William (Bill) (Marie), Jack (Marilyn), and Robert (Bob) (Pam, still living) made her pretty tough and self-sufficient. She grew up in Salt Lake County Fairgrounds area and attended West High School. She later obtained a GED, in which we were all so proud of her for finishing her education. She married L. Charles Howard, June 3, 1950.

After a year or so, she had her first son, Cliff. After another year she had her second son, Cal who always claimed he was her favorite, but we always knew differently. She saved us many times from the wind carrying us away and jumping out of the closet with a scary mask and making us laugh and having lots of fun. We had a wonderful family and soon they bought a new home in Murray, where they met so many lifelong friends, too many to name here, but you all know who are.

They all enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping boating, having parties, and fixing up the neighborhood. Mom worked at Western Auto and Reams Groceries for many years. She loved sewing, knitting, painting, taking care of her family, and always trying to give us something to eat. Many years later Mom and Dad bought a new home in South Jordan where they once again found some wonderful neighbors and continued to travel, golf, and play card games. We take this opportunity to thank so many friends and neighbors that helped Mom and Dad in so many ways. We love and appreciate you for all your kindness.

She is survived by her sons Cliff (Rosemary), and Cal (Sally). Three grandchildren, Torie (Calman) Lugo, Benjamin (Teresa), and Nick (Lindsey). Great-grandchildren, Brianna (Cash), Broox, Zander, Aiden, Giselle, Waylon, Olivia, and Etta. Great-Great-granddaughter, Brinnley. Preceded in death by grandsons, Waylon, and Colby.

Thanks to the staff at Beacon Crest Senior Community for helping our Mom.

Pallbearers will be Nick, Ben, Calman, Broox, Zander, Aiden, Waylon, and Cash.

A viewing will be held on Tuesday, March 1, 2022, beginning at Noon followed by a graveside service at 1:30 at Larkin Sunset Gardens 1950 East Dimple Dell Road (10600 South), Sandy, Utah, 84092
