Craig Lovejoy

1946 ~ 2024

Craig Lindy Lovejoy, the beloved and adored husband of Barbara Lovejoy, entered the next phase of his journey on 19 March 2024. He was his delightful self with a wonderful spirit and good nature until the very end of his earthly life. He was proud of the fact that he was a Vietnam vet, and that he served as an alcohol and drug counselor. He loved immensely the dogs he and Barbara had throughout the years.

Craig is survived by his wife Barbara, brother Vaughn Lovejoy, sister Clover Marks, and children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well as his nieces and nephews…and his dog Sasha.

There will be a viewing held Friday evening, March 22, 2024 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Larkin Mortuary, 260 E. South Temple, Salt Lake City. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, March 23rd at the Salt Lake City Cemetery, 200 “N” Street, Salt Lake City, Utah. You were a great blessing in Barbara's life. You made her happy and that makes us happy. You served our country during the Vietnam War which brought sadness to everyone. You were brave courageous.
We are proud of your choice.

Dear Barbara,

Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. 14 For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him. 15 According to the Lord’s word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep. 16 For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. 1 Thesalonians 4-13-17

God loves you!
