Dayton Ransce Knapp

1995 ~ 2019

\"Dayton Ransce Knapp made his entrance into this world on May 9, 1995, and passed away November 23, 2019, in Salt Lake City, Utah. Dayton is survived by his mother Macaria Gomez and father Richard Knapp, step-mother Grethel Delgado Knapp; his little sisters Amerie Huitron-Knapp and Dazebell Gomez (with whom Dayton shares his birthday); his grandmothers Sena Blanca Knapp and Diana Duran Martinez; his aunts Jessica (married to Nate Ellis), Diana Knapp, Shawna (married to Jason Guanajuato), Sabrina Medina Bowers, Valerie Medina Grant; and many cousins. Dayton is preceded in death by his grandfather Richard Knapp, Sr. with whom he had a special bond, loved very much and talked about often.

Shortly after working a full-time position and having graduated high school, Dayton came to the decision he wanted to work for himself and discovered his true calling in life, music. After attending a music festival and falling in love with music and its environment, Dayton ventured out to Arizona and attended the Music Arts School. Dayton had been exposed to music at an early age by his father Richard, a music engineer, not knowing at the time that he would develop the same passion for music as his father. After graduating in May 2019, Dayton moved to Los Angeles and worked in 3 music studios while finishing his internship. He met famous artists such as Bruno Mars and had recording sessions with Wiz Khalifa among other artists. Dayton was truly happy and proud of his accomplishments and dreamt big, he wanted to have his own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Dayton made an enormously positive impact on those fortunate enough to have met him. He was truly loved everywhere he traveled. He was tirelessly working on his goal of purchasing a home for his mother and little sister and wanted them to have a better life. Dayton wanted to "live freely" (as he would say) and positively and wanted that for all of his family and friends. Dayton was a musician, loved peace, harmony, and everyone around him.

Dayton your laughs, smiles, stubbornness, peacemaking, and ambition will be missed.

Services will be held Monday, December 2, 2019, at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 E. 10600 So., Sandy, Utah 84092. Viewing from 5 p.m.-7 p.m., funeral to follow\"
