Max Louis Raddon

1930 ~ 2015

Max L. Raddon, age 85, passed away peacefully in his sleep on December 7, 2015. Born in Salt Lake City to Louis and Nelda Raddon, Max showed his love for the great outdoors by spending as much time as possible chasing wild horses, camping, fishing and hunting. He loved doing all these things with his kids and treated all of his kid's friends as his own as well. The only time he deviated from these activities was when he was called to serve his country in the Korean War.

As hobbies, he would spend hours working in his garage on anything from engines to building dune-buggies and boats. Once again, he would do this with his kids and every one of them not only knows their way around an engine, but would be comfortable surviving off the land by hunting and fishing. He built his cabin up at Flaming Gorge about 35 years ago and has spent some of the best times of his life up there with his family and friends.

Without question, Max loved his family and enjoyed being part of their lives. He is survived by his wife; Renae and daughter Lynn, sons; Don (Penny), Ron (Teresa) and Ken (Lori Hansen). He was blessed with 11 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. He is loved and missed by all of them.

A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 12, 2015 at 2:00 pm at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 East Dimple Dell Road (10600 South) in Sandy with a visitation one hour prior. Light refreshments will be served after the services.

Max always tried to support wildlife endeavors and in lieu of flowers would appreciate your support of Sportsmen For Fish and Wildlife (215 North Redwood Road, North Salt Lake City, Utah 84054.)
