Thomas Eugene Patterson age 89 passed away February 15, 2016. Tom was born August 28, 1926 to Charles Elmer Patterson and Leoni Leoti Wilding. He married Thora Geraldine "Jerrie" Wheadon on November 6, 1947 they were later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple on June 28, 1950.
Tom was an active member of the LDS church. Tom served four stake missions and a full time mission in Greenwood Mississippi with his wife "Jerrie". He also served as an ordinance worker in the Manti Temple.
Tom served in the Navy during WWII aboard the USS Sea Devil Submarine.
He also worked in the construction field as an engineer, and builder.
He enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing, traveling and making new friends.
Tom is survived by his children, Rand (Nita), Kevin (Reva), Brent (Ines) and daughter in-law Mary Patterson. 16 Grandchildren and 16 Great Grandchildren. Clara Evans (sister), Mary Evans (sister) Milton Patterson (brother) Alvin Patterson (Brother) Elva (Sister)
He was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Leoni Patterson, His wife Jerrie, and his oldest son Chuck, Alice Boyer (sister), Roberta Perry (sister), Mable Briggs (sister), George Patterson (brother), Dave Patterson (brother)
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 11:30 am to 12:45 pm at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 E. Dimple Dell Rd. (10600 S.) in Sandy. And a funeral service will be held at the same location at 1:00 pm in the chapel.
