Eileen Christina Wilkinson

1980 ~ 2014

Our sweet beautiful Eileen passed away on the evening of July 28th 2014. Although fighting a battle with leukemia, her death was unexpected from a rare complication which occurred suddenly while she was at home. Without any knowledge that we would lose our sweet Eileen, she had meaningful conversations and said all the things she wanted to say to our family, and had all of us share those moments with her too. We had some of our most cherished and beautiful memories with our sacred beautiful best friend. We were able to care for her at home filled with love. She was never alone. She was deeply loved by our whole family. She was surrounded by her husband, her sisters, her Mom and Dad, her sweet nephews who she cared for deeply. There was no meaningful stone unturned for her. And outside of the pain and turmoil of this disease and the events that led us here, she had peace and love. She passed that to us to heal and it is beautiful. She enjoyed peace during her life with her family, her dog Cinnamon, and spending time on the Oregon coast line. Our little girl will always be missed and never forgotten. She lives in us every day and our lives are immensely enriched because of her. We Miss You Eileen, and We Will Never Forget!

She was preceded in death by her Grandmother, Nanny, who she will be laid to rest next to in the Salt Lake City Cemetery, her beloved dog Cinnamon. She is survived by her husband William "Scotty" Strausser, her dog Roxy, her twin sister Dona Crowne (Jesse), her sister Catherine Mangum (Brent), her father John Wilkinson (Kathy), her mother Kathleen Wilkinson, her nephews Maddox Crowne, Julian Crowne, Andrew Mangum (Lauren and Max), and her niece Caitlin Mangum. She leaves behind many people whose lives she touched and which she will live on forever.
