Eliane Delphine Cox (Chappuis) passed away January 22, 2020 at the age of 84 in Bremerton, Washington. She was born to Marcel Chappuis and Emely (Neiderhauser) Chappuis on October 25, 1935 in Basel, Switzerland.
Eliane and her family immigrated to Salt Lake City, Utah in 1951 from Basel, Switzerland and was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She married Donald G. Cox in 1956 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Eliane worked as a beautician at Maykof's in Salt Lake City, UT and then part-time at Vanden Bos Jewlers in Port Orchard, WA. She loved watching the Seattle Seahawks and tennis (Roger Federer was her favorite and also a fellow Swiss), shopping (especially at Nordstrom) and keeping up with her girlfriends and extended family.
Eliane is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Donald G. Cox; and parents, Marcel and Emely Chappuis. She is survived by her sons, Glen Cox and David (Sue) Cox; daughter, Michelle Hart (Cox); grandchildren, Tessa Kleppe, Connor Cox, Kaylee Hart and Camden Hart; sister, Denise (Dennis) Shipley; brother, Marcel (Patti) Chappuis.
Funeral services will be held Saturday February 8, 2020 at 1:00 pm at Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple. Interment to follow in Salt Lake City Cemetery.
