Betty Rae Lloyd Lee

1934 ~ 2016

Betty Rae Lee, "That's the cutest little name I've ever heard" exclaimed one of her favorite nurses, died at the age of 82, finally surrendering to the complications of diabetes on April 24, 2016. She was simple and lived simply, focusing on the weightier things in life; her family, friends and church.

She was the second of 4 children born to Henry Farrell Lloyd ("daddy") and Mary Farmer Jensen Lloyd ("mama"), February 5, 1934 in West Jordan, Utah. She and her 3 siblings were like the 4 musketeers, "all for one and one for all", always watching after each other.

On June 6, 1955, she married Max Edward Lee in the Salt Lake Temple. Together they had 4 children. She was preceded in death by her parents (and step mother Melba), husband Max, son Michael Max and younger brother Donald Lloyd. She is survived by her children, Laurie (Keith) Fivas, Lynne (Carey) Lloyd, and Cory (Kathy) Lee, her Siblings; Elaine (Jay, deceased) Holt, and Rodney Lloyd. 11 Grandchildren and 6 Great-grandchildren.

She was happiest when surrounded by her children and grandchildren.

Her love for the gospel was the warmth that filled her joyful 50 years of service in the primary organization, finally being sidelined by declining health at age 80.

She quietly went about life, listening, serving and expanding her heart as she would spend hours not only hearing with her ears the concerns, joys, adventures, and experiences of friends and family, but also, truly listening and responding with her heart.

Her passing will be felt for years to come, but the gentle influence of her life will be felt for a lifetime.

Memorial services will be held, Monday, May 2, 2016, at the Rose Park Stake Center, 1153 West 800 North (East Entrance), Salt Lake City, at 11:00 a.m. Friends and Family are invited to pay respects Sunday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. (at the Stake Center) and Monday morning from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the service. Interment in the Lehi City Cemetery.
