LeRoy Carter

1942 ~ 2016

LeRoy Carter, our dad and grandpa was reunited with his wife Virginia our mom and grandma, while surrounded by his loved ones.

LeRoy passed away March 6, 2016 at the age of 74. He was born on February 23, 1942 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Joseph R. Carter and Anna K. Carter. He later married Virginia Martinez on November 28, 1964 (married for over 50 years) and had four children. LeRoy was a loving husband, great father, wonderful grandfather and brother. We will always remember his infamous \"knuckle sandwiches\", rebellious sense of humor and insatiable sweet tooth. His yearning for projects around the house was only surpassed by his passion for fishing, the outdoors and time spent at the cabin. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather and although we will miss him we are truly thankful he has now joined his \"better half\" in heaven.

Survived by his children; Babette (Scott) Murri, Leesha (David) Clark, Sheila Burt, Shane (Andrea) Carter, his 11 grandchildren- Lateesha, Brandon, Brad, Tyler, Brittny, Marissa, Nicole, Joshua, Brady, Aubrey and Brylee; his brother Richard (Dick) and sister Barbara….. and his good friend Arthur .

Proceeded in death by his wife and true love Virginia, his parents Joe and Anna, his brothers - Joe, Glen, Alger (Sonny) , Robert (Bobby); his sisters - Betty and JoAnn.

Graveside services will be held Friday, March 11at Mount Calvary Catholic Cemetery, 4th Avenue and \"T\" Street, at 2:00 P.M. Celebration of Life, March 11, Magnolia Grove, 1117 South Jordan Parkway (10600 South 1117 West), 5-7 pm.
