Our beloved, sweetheart, mother, grandmother, sister and friend Donna Comas passed away peacefully on Friday, November 22, 2013.
She was born on May 31, 1927 the daughter of Bryant and Edith Haslam Young in Salt Lake City. She married Pete Comas on August 31, 1947 and shared over 60 wonderful years together.
Donna will be remembered for her friendly and kind heart. She loved caring for her family and was quite fond of the color pink. She exemplified great strength and willingness to help anyone in need.
Donna is survived by her four sons, Jim, Carey, Drake, Brett (Tracy), grandchildren, Sara Comas, Michelle Comas, Jen Keck (Michael), James Comas (Andriana), Jessica (Aaron) Harward, and Jennifer McDonald, Sisters, Dorothy Hardy and Phyllis Nealon and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband and son, Layne Comas, Parents, and brother, Lynn Young, sisters, Lorna Reese, Lynnette Leavitt and Beth Smith.
The family would like to thank Intermountain Heart Center under the care of Dr. Stephen L Miller and Dr. Cassity Ballentine, and staff; Terry, Jessica, Jill, Pam and Emma. Such an awesome staff.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at Noon under the direction of Larkin Mortuary 260 E South Temple. www.larkinmortuary.com. Interment will be at the Salt Lake City Cemetery following the services.
