Dale and I shared many memories, caught up on any Rigby news we were aware of, and especially had some good laughs. Our many phone calls over the years meant a great deal to both of us, and always made us feel a little better. Goodbye my dear friend.

We spoke with Dale from time to time. We always enjoyed talking with him. We both knew him from school. A classmate of Rick's and a friend to do many, he will be missed.
May God bless his family as they mourn his loss.

Dale was a friend of mine from high school days in Rigby, Idaho, who I lost touch with when I graduated and moved away. I was pleased when we met again years later at my mother’s funeral. Since we lived in different states, we stayed connected via letters and telephone calls. Dale was very bright, witty, and kind. He was a talented writer and his letters were a joy to read. We shared many long telephone chats discussing politics, literature, and music as well as updates on friends from Rigby High School, and many laughs! Dale had a wonderful sense of humor and conversations with him were a special treat. He was deeply knowledgeable of literature and a talented organist, as well as an insightful and critical thinker. He was also open-minded and valued inclusivity, diversity, and social justice. I will always treasure the gift of his friendship. His wonderful soul has left this earth too soon.
