Dale Howard Hanson age 93 passed away peacefully on October 26th, 2022, surrounded by family in Draper, UT.

Dale was born on December 13th, 1928, in Salt Lake City, UT to Nellie Bertha and Howard David Hanson. He graduated from West High School in 1946. After high school he continued his education at the University of Utah with a degree in accounting. After College he went into the Air Force in 1951 and was honorably discharged in 1954. In 1956 he Married the Love of his Life Claudia Brown on May 10th in the Salt Lake City and later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple.

He had various jobs throughout high school and college, retiring from Hercules. Dale was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served in various callings. He loved to hunt, play golf, tennis, and bowl. He always had a football, basketball, or a golf game playing on the TV. He enjoyed spending time up at Bear Lake with his family.

A Special Thank you to Margie and Julie for their dedicated caregiving for Grandpa Dale for over 2 years.

He is survived by his 5 children, Delynn Walkenhorst (George), Stacee Akagi (Stan), Troy Hanson (Wendy), Heidi Spratt (Todd), Wesley Hanson (Lanette). He leaves behind 21 Grandchildren, 24 Great Grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his wife Claudia, son Kurt, his Parents Nellie & Howard, his sister Verna and his granddaughter Chandry.

There will be a viewing held Tuesday Evening November 1st 6:00-8:00pm at Larkin Sunset Gardens Mortuary 1950 East 106th South, Sandy UT and Wednesday November 2nd from 9:45- 10:45 am at the LDS Meeting house at 9636 South 1700 East, Sandy UT. Funeral Services to Follow at 11:00am.

My condolences to the entire family. What a full life Dale had. The best neighbor and friend to my dad. Always so kind. The wall they built together will forever stand.
