Dale Leon Jensen, 82, passed away at home on August 16, 2025, following long term heart and kidney failure.
He was born in Murray, Utah, April 9,1943, to his parents, M.A Vernon Jensen and Bessie England Jensen. In his immediate family were two older siblings, George Evans Jensen (Betty), and Vernon Keith Jensen of California. He also had several half brothers and sisters and many grand and great grand children.
Dale Leon (he answered to both names) graduated from Granger High School 1961. He then served in the Southern Australia Mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. following his return he married Pauline Allaiger and together they had six children: Sherry (Jeff), Dean, Karen (Danny), Scott (Aimee), Katy (deceased), Aaron.
Later, in 1991, he met and married Margie Jacobs who also graduated Granger High in 1961. They were later sealed in the Mount Timpanogos Utah Temple. She brought into the family four children: Wes Holman, Glen Holman, Audrey (Aaron Showalter) and Robert Holman.
Following his return from Australia, Dale resumed his education at the University of Utah graduating with a Bachelors and a Masters degree in education. Most of his life he spent helping others with their education by teaching elementary school grades for several years. He also worked in professional training, teaching others in learning and developing new skills and concepts. He also served in the Civil Air Patrol and also did Search and Rescue. He did this to combine his love of flying and helping others.
He was preceded in death by his parents, both brothers and his daughter Katy.
A viewing will be held on Thursday, August 21, 2025, from 9:00 - 10:00 AM at Larkin Sunset Gardens (1950 E Dimple Dell Rd. Sandy, UT) with a graveside service to follow at the same location.
