Dane Winston Lindsay, age 55, passed away on January 20, 2022in Salt Lake City, Utah.

He was born June 18, 1966 in Murray, Utah to LaMar Wells Lindsay and Janet Mae Carlson Lindsay.

Dane graduated from Skyline High School in 1985. He traveled many times to California to see the Grateful Dead. He spent time living in New Hampshire, he loved working at Snowbird Ski Resort and especially loved working at the Utah Food Bank. He loved all his dogs and was a fantastic cook for family and friends. He loved his three girls above all else in life Karen, Alyssa, and Ellie.

He is survived by Wife Karen, Daughters Alyssa and Ellie; Siblings Scott of Los Angeles, CA, Chet (ViEtta) Plain City, UT, Marti (Tim) Vernal, UT, and Jason (Tawnia) Eagle Mountain, UT; Brothers-in-law Rob (Kristen) Park City, UT, Bill of Hopkinton, MA, and Scott (Ardis) Bentonville, AR; Aunt Phyllis of Las Vegas, NV, Aunt Carol of Salt Lake City, UT; and other Aunts and Uncles who loved him. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins that he loved.

He is preceded in death by his parents Janet and LaMar, and stepmom Helen Lindsay.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 31, 2022, at 4:00 pm at Larkin Sunset Lawn, 2350 East 1300 South, Salt Lake City, Utah 84108. Friends and Family can attend via zoom by clicking on "Watch Services" above.

Those are two great pictures of Dane. Kind, caring, good natured, and a thousand other positive emotions come to mind when remembering Dane. I didn't know him as well as I'd have liked to but remember several good times I shared with him.

I just learned today at the Utah Food Bank the sad news of Dane's passing. Dane was always so friendly and helpful when I came to the UFB to pick up our pantry's order. I will miss him - and I am certain many others will as well.
