In Loving Memory of Daniel J. Burgess

Daniel J. Burgess was born on February 19, 1961, and brought immense joy and love into our lives throughout his 62 years. Daniel cared for everyone he met and had a genuine ability to uplift others, offering a listening ear and providing comfort during difficult times. His empathy knew no bounds, and he touched countless lives with his kindness, generosity, and understanding.

A beloved father and husband, Daniel dedicated himself to loving his family. His daughter Daniella and wife Kimese and son Tai will forever hold him in their hearts. Daniel’s family, friends and colleagues treasure the special bond they shared, and are grateful for the light Daniel brought into our lives.

We invite friends and loved ones to join us in celebrating Daniel by caring for one another. His spirit will forever guide us and remind us to cherish each moment with those we hold dear.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Daniel's memory to a children's charity of your choice.

Rest in peace, dear Daniel. You are forever loved!

So sorry to hear about Danny…we met through my sister Kimi Eklund, and he sure lit up a room with his energy! My favorite memory is playing Euchre (a Michigan card game) with Danny, my Mom, and my sister…we laughed so hard and just truly enjoyed that moment.

May your hearts be full with positive memories of this brilliant man. He did everything with great passion. So sorry for your huge loss. May peace be with all of his family and friends.

I am so very saddened to hear of my very good friend Dan's untimely passing. I have known Dan for over 40 years, both professionally and personally. I had the good fortune of seeing him a few years back at his beautiful home in UT. Dan was the consummate professional, very smart, hard working, extremely friendly, and a joy to be around. He may not be physically with us, but fond memories will live in my heart and mind forever.

Met Dan the first time at my wedding ( married to Vicki Kaltz) oh my…. Such an
Impression he leaves on people. He defines altruism to its finest. One of those people you meet and think about the rest of your life. I felt inspired after each….. and every… conversation I had with him. He most certainly left a positive impact on this planet

I knew Dan for roughly 20 years. He was brilliant. I loved him like a brother. Always made a positive impression and he was an inspiration to us all. I will miss him dearly. I wish I could have one more of those 10 minute phone calls that went on for an hour. He just meant that much to me and everyone he met and worked with.
Love you brother. You made the world a better place.

Dan was a great friend and colleague. He was patient and willing to answer all questions which arose in our challenging profession. He will be remembered for his professionalism and his great wealth of knowledge as well as his love for his family.

God give His peace and support during this challenging time to his family.

I am so sad to learn this. I was friends with Dan in high school and on the wrestling team with him. He was a great guy, always a smile on his face and full of energy. We lost touch after high school. I reconnected with him by phone 4 years ago and am sad I didn’t keep in touch with him afterward. Prayers for his family and friends.

I was Dan’s high school wrestling coach at Rochester Adams in Michigan. He was one of the toughest kids I ever coached. Smart, hard working, fun loving. Couldn’t ask for any more of a great student athlete and young man.. He’s gone much too soon. God bless Dan, his family and inner circle. I’m saddened, I always had utmost respect for him. RIP my friend.
