Darla Jean Wilson passed away Monday July 24, 2023, in South Jordan, Utah following a brief bout with Covid. She was born on October 27, 1939 in Billings, Montana to Lois and Arvid Wilson. She leaves behind sisters Vietta Wilson and Lynnette Van Komen (Frank) with a complement of nieces & nephews and their children that provided support in her waning years. We have lost a woman who followed her own counsel from her upbringing and graduation in Roberts, Montana to joining the U.S. Navy, where she obtained further education/trade, and then used her photography expertise to join Stanford University Medical School until her retirement.
Shortly after, Darla moved to Utah in 2004 to be closer to family where she made her home in West Jordan. She could be feisty and stubborn and you knew when she was not pleased but she could also do quiet acts of kindness. She was very dedicated to animal welfare; supporting the Stanford Cat Network, feeding all critters that ventured into her yard, and her house always had spoiled cats. She loved playing sports when younger and was extremely loyal and proud to serve her country. A one of a kind that we already miss.
