Phyllis Stanworth Simper

1946 ~ 2018

Phyllis Stanworth Simper passed away on November 21, 2018 in Sandy, UT. Born on March 27, 1946 to Lorna and Thorval Stanworth in Hurricane, UT. She married Brent Daniel Simper on July 28, 1967 in Elko, NV.

Phyllis was a devoted mother and grandmother. She was very generous, giving, and friendly. She enjoyed getting to know people and could start a conversation with anyone. In her younger years she enjoyed reading, plastic canvas crafts, and painting ceramics. She was a talented seamstress and sewed clothes and Halloween costumes for her daughters. She also loved animals and enjoyed caring for them.

She is survived by her husband, Brent, daughters Christine (Chris Chesnut) Sleater, Danielle (Jon) Gardner, Nicole; and 4 grandchildren, Alex (Zack) Jackson, Bethany, Ashton, and Megan. Also her sisters, LaRee Ramos, Jenny (Gene) Price, and LuAnn Johnson.

She is preceded in death by her parents and twin brother, Phil Stanworth.

A viewing will be held Tuesday, December 4th from 11:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 East Dimple Dell Road, Sandy, with a graveside service and interment to follow at Elysian Burial Gardens, 1075 East 4580 South.
