DeLores Smith

DeLores Smith, age 87, of Salt Lake City, Utah, passed away January 11, 2025, in Las Vegas, Nevada, after suffering complications from senile degeneration.

Born April 6, 1937, in Goshen, Idaho, to Oscar George and Crystle Amelia Paulus. Married Charles Edward Smith on December 5, 1953, in Salt Lake City, Utah. Marriage later solemnized on August 27, 1996, in the Salt Lake City Temple. 

DeLores was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She had a wonderful love for animals and nature and all of God's creation. She loved bowling with her husband and had phenomenal skills with arts and crafts, especially ceramics.

Survived by daughter Debra Lynn Vasquez (Abel), son Glen Keith Smith (Liz), stepdaughters Charlotte June Smith and Virginia May Smith and sister Cheri Adele Paulus Law (Merrill) and several grandchildren.

Preceded in death by brothers Bennie Paulus, Gary Paulus (Joanne) and sister Bonnie Lanora Paulus Hess (Steven).

A viewing will be held on Saturday, January 25, from 9:30-10:45 AM at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 E Dimple Dell Road (10600 S), Sandy, Utah. Funeral services will take place at 11:00 AM at the same location. Interment will be at Larkin Sunset Gardens Cemetery.
