Dennis R. White, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed from this life on June 14, 2025, just days before his 77th birthday.
Born on June 27, 1948, Dennis was a lifelong resident of Utah and a proud graduate of the University of Utah College of Pharmacy, Class of 1972. He devoted his professional life to the field of pharmacy, where he served the people of the Salt Lake Valley as a pharmacist. His dedication to the field of Pharmacy was more than just a career, Dennis also spent many years heavily involved with the Utah Pharmaceutical Association and a decade on the Utah State Board of Pharmacy.
Dennis was sealed to his wife of 55 years, Cheri Lynn Voyce, in the Salt Lake City Temple. Together, they built a life centered on faith, family, service, and adventure. A member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Dennis held numerous callings throughout his life and was known for his quiet strength and dry wit.
There were few things Dennis looked forward to more than yard work and traveling. Dennis found great joy in his yard whether tending to his many rose bushes or mowing his lawn three times a week and trying to keep the leaves out of his waterfall pond. The only thing that could take him away from his yard was the opportunity to travel. Dennis and Cheri visited 6 of the 7 continents and more countries than we could count. He always had his camera in tow and came home with some of the most amazing photos, which he then spent hours compiling into the photo books that lined the bookshelves of the home they shared. His last trip was to Fairbanks, Alaska to see the Northern Lights.
Dennis is survived by his wife, Cheri; his sons, Michael (Stephanie) and Greg (Joey); and his grandchildren: Nathan, Alex, Adalyn, Brielle, Connor, and Dylan. He is also survived by his brothers Ross (Ron) and Craig (Cherri), and sister-in-law Carol as well as many extended family members and beloved friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Jessie, his brother Glynn, and nephew Bryan.
