Obituary

Dexter Cameron Gottfredson, born April 8th, 1992, passed away unexpectedly on October 28th, 2026. He was 34 years old.

Dexter lived life to the fullest. He loved riding motorcycles, snowboarding, fishing, and camping, anywhere he could be outdoors or in motion. A hard worker with a restless spirit, Dexter was always looking for new opportunities and ready for the next challenge. He worked at Dunford Bakers alongside his dad, Eric, and his grandpa Gary, and later on cellphone towers, wind turbines, and industrial compressor repair; work that took him to high places and suited his adventurous spirit.

Above all, Dexter's greatest love was his two sons, Camden and Lincoln. He was a proud and constant presence in their lives, cheering from the sidelines at their football, basketball, and hockey games or wrestling matches. His boys were his heart.

Dexter was greatly loved by his parents, sister, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephew, and many, many others. He will be greatly missed.

A viewing will be held on November 11th from 6:00-9:00 p.m. at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 E 10600 S, Sandy, Utah. A graveside service will take place on November 12th at 11:00 a.m. at Larkin Sunset Gardens Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, support for Dexter's sons would be welcomed. Please reach out to the family for more information.

The Donaldson team is so sad to hear this news. Dexter was a key member of our crew for years. Smart, capable, goofy, and down to earth. Dexter loved to chat on the phone for hours during his drives and kept the crew always laughing with his dark and witty humor. He was hard working and took pride in getting the job done well. I will miss our long phone calls catching up on life’s highs and lows. You were a great friend Dexter and you will be missed!

Dexter was a joy to our family as one of Dylan’s good friends. Whenever he came over to the house he always made a point to talk with us and was not above giving me a hug. He was very entertaining and we loved having him around. My heart dropped when I got the news of his passing. A great loss to all who knew him. Big hug to the family as you navigate this unexpected event. Love you, Dexter!
