Diane Bailey

Diane Bailey (77), of South Salt Lake City, Utah, passed away on August 30, 2026.

Diane entered this life with a big heart filled with a love for family, friends, laughter, and music. She was the second daughter born to Millie Orlich and Earnest Bailey in 1949.

Diane grew up in South Salt Lake City, having great adventures with her older sister, Deana.

Diane’s career found her at the Salt Lake City Health Department, and later with the Utah Department of Corrections at the Bonneville Community Correctional Center. Diane was a specialist technician supporting parole officers until her retirement in 1994. A select few of her close co-workers became her life-long friends and confidants.Together they joked, laughed, bowled, and some may have even seen her play her accordion!

Diane was preceded in death by her father, Earnest (1986), her mother, Millie (1992), and her sister and best friend, Deana (2007). She is survived by her three nieces, Andrea Bianco (San Diego, California), Mary Bianco (Salt Lake City, Utah), and Judy Bianco (Sandy, Utah).

Visitation is Saturday, September 5, 2026, from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM at the Larkin Mortuary on 260 East South Temple, Salt Lake City, UT 84111.

Graveside services will take place at 11:30 AM, immediately following the visitation. Where friends are invited to join the family at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, located at 1342 East 500 South in Salt Lake City, UT 84102.
