Dianne Sperry Durrant, age 63, of Sandy, Utah, passed away due to complications with COVID-19, on Friday, August 13, 2021.

Dianne was born on October 28, 1957 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She is the firstborn child of Max Cleal Sperry and Marva Gribble Sperry. Dianne was raised in Holladay, Utah where she attended Olympus High School, class of 1976. She spent a majority of her childhood with horses and livestock on her family’s land. Dianne was an animal lover, enjoyed reading, and being in the mountains. She was an avid sports fan and enjoyed playing pickleball. Her favorite thing to do however, was to be with her family. Dianne was a devoted, thoughtful mother. Her children and grandchildren were her world. In her own quiet way, she served others with thoughtfulness and deep love. Her unmatched integrity was an example to all who knew her. She was a student of the scriptures and the atonement of Jesus Christ. Her testimony was the foundation in her life.

Dianne attended Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. She was married to Stanford Hammond Durrant on December 19, 1978 in the Salt Lake City Temple. Together, they have six children.

In 2007, Dianne was diagnosed with Lupus and this affected her kidneys. On June 21, 2014, she was the recipient of a kidney transplant, donated by her son, Ryan Stanford Durrant. This amazing gift prolonged her life and she guarded and protected her gift. Because of those efforts, her kidney was still healthy when she passed away.

Survived by her husband Stanford Hammond Durrant; her six children Melissa, Ryan (Lindsay), Justin (Emilee), Joshua (Bayli), Taylor, and Amanda; her father Max; her two brothers David (Lori), and Mark (Tiffany), 11 adorable grandchildren, and her beloved horse Kezhee. Preceded in death by her mother Marva.
