Doni married Melidee Jones Hansen in 1999, and they moved to Sandy, UT. He had a deep love for his family and his wife was his favorite companion and best friend. Small things carried big meaning for him, and he found great joy in sharing the simple pleasures of life with her.
Doni loved being an uncle to his nieces and nephews. He had a childlike spirit when spending time with them, always joking around, pulling pranks and playing hard. He was also someone they could look to as a role model who helped teach them how to live with kindness, responsibility and a big heart.
Doni had a very caring and receptive heart, loved unconditionally with deep loyalty and had a very generous soul. He will be missed dearly by all who have had the opportunity to know and love him.

Don: I will never forget the day that I met Mr. Don Hansen. It was my first day of the job. He was the first person I met when I started with ADT. He had me working off of an extension ladder on my first day, and I was scared shitless. But over the 19 years I worked there, I got to know a great person with a great attitude and one of the best installers I have ever met. Don Hanson was the Picasso of installs you would have to see his work inside of an electrical panel to see the magic he did. I’ve always tried to mimic my work off of him and other great installers over the years. Don, you will be missed and I am glad to have called you my friend.
My heart is breaking. Doni was one of my oldest friends. So grateful that we had a chance to catch up two years ago when I visited he and Melody in Sandy. Bill and I thoughts are with Melody and Lyla at this time.
