Donald Lloyd Bolerjack

1932 ~ 2023

Donald Lloyd Bolerjack, of Sandy, Utah, passed away on October 14, 2023 in Salt Lake City. He was born on October 29, 1932 in Willow Springs Missouri to Miles Lloyd and Alice Herrndon Bolerjack. His father was a manager with the regional office of Frisco Railroad out of St. Louis. Don was a member of the Christian faith.

As a student, he was interested animal husbandry and horse breeding. He participated in Future Farmers of America and became an expert equestrian in both western and English saddles. However, after attending the University of Missouri and serving in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict, Don pursued a successful executive business career with several corporations, including Schick Razor Co. and Warner Lambert Corp. until his retirement. In later years, he enjoyed serving in emeritus positions in local chambers of commerce.

He met his lifelong soul mate, Wanda James, during school and they married after graduation. The couple settled in Kansas City and raised their two sons, Steven and Craig there.

Some years after son Craig established a successful career as a sports broadcaster in Salt Lake, and son Steven moved to California as a lawyer, Don and Wanda relocated to Utah to be closer to family and their three grandsons. He delighted in helping them grow from young boys to successful young men.

After 72 years of marriage, his wife Wanda preceded him in death earlier this year. Don is survived by son Steven Bolerjack, son and daughter-in-law Craig and Sharon Bolerjack, grandsons Don James Bolerjack, Nicholas and wife Ana Bolerjack, and Brody Bolerjack.
