Donna Mae Elmquist from Salt Lake City, Utah, passed away on March 13, 2022, at 12:00 noon. Donna was born September 18, 1947, to Donald Lee and Lenora Elmquist, at Tacoma General Hospital, Tacoma, Washington. During her life, she moved around a lot between Washington, Idaho, Montana and Utah.

After graduating from Evergreen High School in Seattle, Washington in 1965, she continued on to receive an Associate of Arts degree from Northwest College in Kirkland, Washington.

She worked many years in the telecommunications and customer service professions. Her longest tenure was spent over 28 years for Pacific Northwest Bell (later becoming US West) as a Route Operator for the technical staff. She eventually began enjoying the retirement part of life in 2013.

In 1953, Donna accepted Jesus as her Lord and Saviour in Troy, Montana. In 1955, she was baptized in the Holy Spirit in Emmett, Idaho. In 1958, she was baptized in water in Milton, Washington. She taught Sunday School, Children’s church, Bible Studies and Missionettes (Assembly of God Girl’s Ministry). Donna became a Missionette Honor Star and Esther. Later, Donna had the privilege of crowning her mother as a Missionette Honor Star and receiving the Esther award. From 1989 – 1990, she served as the Greater Seattle Sectional Missionette Representative. She loved Fashion Shows and Teddy Bear Tea Parties. Donna never married but supported her grandmother and mother until their passing.

Donna was preceded in death by her mother and father. She is survived by her brothers, David Lee Elmquist of Kent, Washington and Gus Elmquist of Kuna, Idaho, her sister, Muriel Elmquist of Kuna, Idaho, 1 niece and 4 nephews.

A memorial service will be held for Donna at Salt Lake Christian Center, 4300 S. 700 E., Salt Lake City, Utah, Thursday, March 24th at 6 p.m. There will be visiting with the family, half hour prior to the service. She will be laid to rest at Riverton Crest Cemetery in Seattle, Washington. No flowers please, any contributions should be given in Donna’s name to the Rocky Mountain Ministry Network / Missionette Department, Colorado Springs, Colorado, in order to financially help Missionette groups.
