Donna Phillips

1933 ~ 2022

Donna Rae Fawson Phillips, 88, passed away in South Jordan, Utah, on May 14, 2022, of natural causes. Born in Salt Lake City, Utah, on June 15, 1933, the daughter of Charles Fay and Mary Blanche Fidler Fawson.

Donna met the love of her life, Jack Arnold Phillips, and they began their lives together on October 21, 1950, in Salt Lake City, Utah. Together they were a complete package. Donna and Jack were inseparable. Together they raised a wonderful family of 8 children, which has continued to grow throughout the years bringing her so much joy. As a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints her whole life, Donna gained great perspective on those things that were truly important in this life. Her family being one of the most important to her. She would find different activities that would allow them to spend time together. This would often include jigsaw puzzles which she loved, especially as everyone would gather to help with them. She loved her family, all of whom benefitted from her generosity, love, concern and example. Working hard her entire life, she kept her family as her primary focus in all she did.

As one who lived her life as an example to others around her, she never complained. She had a love for others, which was regularly evident in how she lived her life and treated others. Donna had a love of dogs and they in turn always loved her back. Throughout the years, Donna was known for her beautifully landscaped yard, which through her efforts was always kept immaculate and qualified her for several awards.

Donna is survived by her loving family who are forever blessed by her great example, Jack A. Phillips Jr (Jean); Debbie Alldredge (Kay); Lorraine Winegar (Joel); Brenda McLean (Dale); Diane Andrus; Renee Langford (Ken); Gordon W. Phillips (Michelle); Charlyne Withers (Alan); 38 grandchildren and many, many great and great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and love of her life, Jack, her parents, 4 brothers and a sister, a grandson and granddaughter.

I remember Great Aunt Donna and Great Uncle Jack with so much fondness, the times our families would spend together are lovingly burned in my memory. Especially with Jack Jr and Debi too. Even though it's been years, I love you all and send the most love and sorrow I can muster. JIMMY
