Gary Don McPhie was born in SLC, Utah, raised by Daniel Murchie and Mary Marshall McPhie. He married his life long sweetheart, Janet Kay Bawden Sept. 12th, 1957. Their devotion to each other lasted 60 years. Janet and Gary lived a simple loving life peppered with romance and adventure on their many Harley Motorcycle and camping trips.
Gary was a Veteran of the Navy serving honorably in San Diego. He was a man of dignity and integrity within the family he so loved. Gary worked hard in his own business providing for his two daughters, Dorothy Ann and Bonnie Kay, spouse Greg Coleman, and for his son Daniel Paul McPhie.
Proceeded in death by his parents, siblings Joe, Mary, Bessie and Margaret. He leaves behind his wife Janet, his children, his grandchildren and a large extended family who held Gary in the highest of esteem. Gary lived his life as a tall, handsome curly haired Scotsman, true to his heritage.
Viewing and Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, April 11, 2018. Friends and Family may bless Gary's life at the Viewing at 12 PM and Graveside service at 2PM. Interment will be at Larkin Sunset Gardens. The address is 1950 East Dimple Dell Road, 10600 So., Sandy Utah 84092.
