Drew R. Kochinsky (Spence) passed away peacefully in his home on June 27, 2022, at the age of 36.

My son’s life began at 1:21 AM on October 9, 1985, this is fitting since he was also a night owl. From the very beginning we had a strong bond, he was my firstborn, my pal, and my sidekick we did everything together which continued throughout his life.

My son as a young child would spend summer months in Montana with his Grandma Myrt, he often looked back at those memories fondly. There she taught him how to fish, his first fish he ever caught he said to Grandma “there’s a fish on the hook” my mom thought no way… they reel in the line, and he was a big one!! Mom and Drew built her deck which was still standing when she sold the house 4 years ago. They did flea markets and farmer's markets, she taught him how to set up and sell leather goods, he loved Montana and loved his grandma more…

He graduated from Jordan High School and started doing masonry work and shortly after started a 14-year career in heavy construction beginning in 2008 with RLW Construction learning everything he could in the concrete paving industry. He loved what he did and took pride in his accomplishments.

Let’s talk about his love of the Dallas Cowboys, he was a LOYAL-DIEHARD fan. It was something he looked forward to every single year, win or lose he always had their back. As a matter of fact, new to his apartment complex just in time for football season, he was served with several noise complaints from the tenants during those games, I know you know…

Utah Jazz and Utes fan as well, a gun enthusiast, grill master, and WWE Wrestle Mania fan. He worked hard and played harder. He was generous to a fault, a kind loving man, he had a big heart, a loyal friend to all. If you were lucky enough to have met him, you would have remembered his bigger-than-life personality, loud and proud that’s him.

He loved his nephew J.R. and would have fallen instantly in love with his niece Millie whom he did not get to meet.
He loved his brothers and he loved me…

Drew is survived by his mom Renee, stepfather Troy, brothers Justin and Alex (Roie) Hawkins, nephew J.R. and niece Millie. Grandparents Vicki and Hal Hawkins, Aunts; Deirdre (Bill) Patterson and Tara (Chad) Buckway. Numerous Utah, Chicago, and Louisiana aunts, uncles, and cousins and Faith his beloved dog.

My son had a great group of friends since grade school and continued those friendships throughout his life.
Special friend Cassie Barbazon and her son Silver.

Preceded in death by grandparents Myrtle Kochinsky and John Kochinsky, aunt, Trishelle Dicou.
