Duncan Coltrin Flint

1995 ~ 2021

Duncan Coltrin Flint inexplicably passed away by possible accident, foul play or by suicide last week. The exact cause of death has not yet been determined. Duncan will forever be in our hearts.

Duncan was a happy, gentle and caring soul with a wide-ranging intellect and deep sensitivity. From his earliest days Duncan always had the kindest heart, being intuitively empathetic and wanting only the best for those around him. Duncan grew up with dogs and so loved our giant white drooly furry family members. Duncan was fortunate to have found deep passionate love twice, once in high school and again in college; he so loved being in love.

Duncan was a graduate of Rowland Hall-St. Marks in the class of 2013 and the Colorado School of Mines in the class of 2017, with a degree in electrical engineering. Most recently, he was working as an aerospace systems engineer at L3Harris in Plano, Texas, having moved there from Colorado in April of 2020.

Duncan was delighted to be taking his first steps into the world of young adulthood—his engaging new job, his own high-rise one bedroom apartment, his computer hobbies and personal engineering projects, and online gaming with his friends.

Duncan made deep and lasting friendships throughout his life. His loyalty and compassion toward others were unfailing. We are so grateful for the 25 years we had with Duncan, and he will be loved and missed every hour of every day.

Duncan leaves behind his parents, Jeanine and George Flint, and his older brother Marsh Flint, as well as aunts, uncles, and cousins. In addition to his family, his many friends and their parents and his work colleagues, will miss him deeply. The family will hold a private service at a later date.

Donations in his memory may be directed to The National Great Pyrenees Rescue Inc., www.nationalpyr.org.
