Beloved daughter, sister, mother, grandmother and aunt, Mary Ellen O\Connell Basso, passed away on February 9, 2015, in Scottsdale, Arizona. She was born September 1, 1954 in Passaic, New Jersey to William J. and Eileen O'Connell. Mary spent the last 12 years in Arizona, close to her sister, Laurie, and lovingly caring for her mother who suffers from Alzheimer\s disease. Her laughter and love will be missed every day.
Mary is survived by her mother and sister, Laurie O'Connell (Martin) Langford, both of Scottsdale, AZ; her son Justin (Ashley) Basso and grandsons, Mason and Jonah Basso of Draper, UT; and her nieces Anna and Lily Langford of Scottsdale, AZ. She was preceded in death by her father.
A funeral mass will be held at St. Thomas Moore Catholic Church, 3015 East Creek Road, Cottonwood Heights, Utah 84093, at 11:00 am on Thursday, March 12, 2015, with visitation at the church, prior to the mass, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. Interment at Larkin Sunset Gardens.
