Iris Ada Sansom Noble Grove

1918 ~ 2016

A wonderful, loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother and friend, Iris A. Grove passed away Saturday, July 2, 2016.

Iris was born May 24, 1918 in Lowestoft, England to Richard George Sansom and Alice Maud Pitcher Sansom.

Schooled in Lowestoft, England, Iris became a faithful member of the LDS Church and came to America at age 18. She married George Eldon Noble (later divorced) and settled in Amalga, Utah. To that union were born her two devoted children, Nora and Norman. She married Kenneth B. Grove September 16, 1950.

Iris loved bowling, traveling, tending her yard, and planting flowers. When she was not working outside, she was working inside. People marveled at her neatness. There was never anything out of place and never a dirty dish. She was a perfectionist, but her family and her animals were her life.

Preceded in death by her parents, her three brothers, and by Kenneth B. Grove, her husband of over 50 years.

Survived by: her two children, Nora Lucille Noble and Norman Richard (Gloria) Noble; three grandchildren Chad R (Terilynn) Noble, Shawn B (Kim) Noble, and Kimberli (Doug) Stalnaker; seven great grandchildren Zach, Tanner, Tyler, Kaden, Breanna, Hailey, and Hunter; and two great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 7, 2016 at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 E. Dimple Dell Rd. (10600 S.) A viewing will be held prior to the services from 9:00-10:45 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment to follow at Larkin Sunset Gardens Cemetery. Special thanks to the staff and caregivers at CareSource.
