Jeanne Ransom Wells, our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away on February 20, 2015. She was born on June 10, 1929 in Preston, Idaho to John Austin Ransom and Agnes May Moore.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Raymond Dean Wells, 6 siblings, son Lester Dean, daughter Janice Jensen, grandson Tyler Jensen and grand daughter Jaime Wells. She is survived by her daughter Cheryl Ann Myers, son Michael Ray Wells, 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
She graduated from Preston High School and met Ray at a dance center known as the Persiana in Preston, Idaho. They fell in love and married on June 10, 1948, marriage later solemnized in the Oakland LDS Temple. In the spring of 1949 they started their life farming potatoes and raised their 4 children for about 30 years in Tulelake, California then returning to Preston in 1982.
Jeanne loved spending time with her family and serving in her LDS wards. She also loved sitting outdoors from her home in the summers of Preston visiting with neighbors.
While we are saddened at her passing we know she lived a long full life and she is now enjoying happy reunions on the other side.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Feb. 28, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Larkin Sunset Gardens Mortuary, 1950 E. 10600 S., Sandy, Utah. Friends may call Saturday from 1-1:45 p.m. at the mortuary.
