Sharon Lindsay Clark

1927 ~ 2014

Sharon Lindsay Clark, age 87, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 3, 2014 from natural causes. He was born to Harold William and Elvira Moline Lindsay Clark on June 12, 1927. He graduated from South High School in June of 1945 where he was a member of R. O. T. C. and was an excellent marksman. He also enlisted in the U. S. Navy in February of 1944 at the age of seventeen. Dad was very proud of the fact that he earned his private pilot license and learned how to fly five different planes. He married his sweetheart, Joyce Murray, on August 14, 1953 in the Logan LDS Temple. They had four children. Sharon worked at several financial institutions retiring from Zion\s First National Bank in 1992 after 24 years of service. Dad loved the outdoors and being with his family. At the age of 55 he took up running and completed four marathons. There were many family outings spent in Park City and numerous fishing trips to Teapot Lake. After our mom\s stroke in 1998, dad lovingly and tenderly took care of her for four years until her passing, never wanting to leave her side. Dad was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He loved doing genealogy and family history and spent innumerable hours researching his ancestors. Dad really enjoyed eating out with his family, especially when it was a good burger and vanilla shake.

Our dad was preceded in death by his beautiful bride Joyce, his son Timothy, and his brother Percy. He is survived by son Kerry, daughter-in-law Laurie, daughter-in-law Lori Vaughn, daughter JoyLynn, son Jonathan (Jillian), sister Nancy Sutton (Art), sister-in-law Maureen, six grandchildren, a brand new great-granddaughter and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members. Thanks to his friends and neighbors for their years of love and support. The family wishes to thank the wonderful staff at Care Source Hospice for their kind service given to him in his final days.

Funeral services will be held at Parleys Second Ward, 1870 East Parleys Canyon Blvd., on Saturday, October 11, 2014 at 12:00 noon, where friends and family may call Friday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and Saturday 10:30‚11:30 a.m. prior to services. Interment, Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
