Elaine Wells Carlisle

Elaine Wells Carlisle, age 88, passed away on August 11, 2021 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was born November 7, 1932 to parents Walter Wells and Anna Elly Sigrid Jensen.

Mom loved to do cross stitching. She would spend hours doing them and they were prized by all the granddaughters. She also loved to sing. She was in the Singing Mothers Choir and she also sang in a Quartet. Her and her husband, David, served a mission in the Bristol England Mission and loved every minute of it. She also served in the member location service department of the church for many years. She also served in many church callings.

She was a very devoted mother. She raised her 4 kids by example, with love and patience. She was very involved in all aspects of their lives.

Survived by Son, Brent Carlisle & wife Cynthia, Daughter, Rebecca Merritt & husband Kevin, Daughter, Barbara Reissen, Son, Ronald Carlisle & wife Lydia, 13 Grandchildren and 22 Great Grandchildren.

Proceeded in death by David, her loving husband, Her Parents, 2 Sisters, Paul Reissen (son-in-law), Melaine Carlisle (granddaughter).

There will be a graveside service, Tuesday August 17, 2021 at 11:00am at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park and Mortuary 3401 South Highland Dr.
Friends may call Monday August 16th from 6 to 8pm at the Rose Park North Stake Center 1155 North 1200 West, Salt Lake City, UT 84116
