Elder Papaseea Feiloaki

2001 ~ 2023

Obituary Photo for Elder Papaseea Feiloaki < >

Elder Papaseea Feiloaki was born on January 1, 2001, in Vaiola Tofa Tongatapu. He was a healthy and handsome baby weighing 11 pounds.

As a little boy, he was very energetic, so his dad put him in a Taekwondo club with his brother. There he represented his grade in the Taekwando Oceanic Tournament in New Zealand, receiving a bronze and silver medal.

He attended the Free Wesleyan Maamaloa side school in Nukualofa and finished his last year at Mangaia primary school. He also attended Kolisi ko Tupou. He learned different ways of life that helped him through his journey. He loved rugby, he and others were chosen from various schools in Tonga to represent the under 16's Rugby Tournament in New Zealand, and the same things went for him when he was 18 years old.

He joined the Technology course in Electrical Engineering when it was first introduced. In 2018 his last years were one of the hardest for him when his dad passed away suddenly. But that didn't stop Elder Feiloaki from moving forward, he went on to complete his Level 1 in 2018. He was currently working as an electrical engineer and was furthering his studies by enrolling in Level 2 in Electrical Engineering at Fokololo Technology Institute of Tonga. He gained a lot of experience in the industry and was looking forward to earning his Level 3 certification soon. He hoped to use the knowledge he gained to help improve his current job performance and move up the ladder in the future.

Having great friends and an excellent Ward and Stake helped him to learn more about the gospel of Jesus Christ, and the restoration of the gospel. He knew that with hard work and dedication, he could achieve any goal he set for himself. He hoped to become an example of what can be achieved with the right attitude and focus. He was excited about the future and what it held.

In 2021, he received his mission call to serve in the Tonga Mission, where he spent a year. Then, in September of the following year, he received another call to re-assign to the Olongoapoa Mission in the Philippines. On December 12, 2022, he departed for his new mission, which he served for eight months before his Heavenly Father called him to return home on July 29, 2023.

The family includes his mother, Hepisipa Mauala Feiloaki Mortensen, his older sister, Meliani Feiloaki, his baby brother Pita Jack Davis Feiloaki, and his heartbeat baby sister Manusiu 'o Vava'u Feiloaki.

Elder Feiloaki will always be in our hearts forever "Ikai ngata e 'Ofa

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 19, 2023 at the Taylorsville 5th Ward, 5015 South 4720 West, Taylorsville, Utah. The family service will be from 8:00 to 11:00 am with funeral services following at 12:00 pm. Interment will be at Larkin Sunset Lawn Cemetery, 2350 East 1300 South, Salt Lake City, Utah.

Miss you back here at home Elder Fe'iloaki. I know that you have been called by Him to do his work, but losing you is still hard to accept, which is mean that you have gone from us now we will never see you again in the journey of our daily life. "Yes, weeping may endure for a night, but JOY cometh in the morning." ...Then, in the dawn of our increased faith and understanding, we arise and choose to wait upon the Lord, saying "Thy will be done."

The love of my life, the beat of my heart, the experience of being a first-time baby boy, and my family's strength. You have been a rock and a source of inspiration during this challenging time. I am so thankful for all the love and support you have given me. You have been a true blessing in my life. I don't know what I would have done without you. I am so proud of you, and I love you with all my heart. Thank you for being here for me.

My life wouldn't be the same without you, my son. You are the rock of our little family. I imagine our lives together. And how you will help me with every dream we create, you sharing each other love and happiness. I will await your calls every Sunday on our PD and share all the news and scripture you learn in the mission field. Missing all those funny times, you always reminded me to pay my 1/10 and be Christlike. How you wanted to solve every problem that came your way. You wouldn't want to let any of that problem affect me, so you tried your best to solve it. My dear son, I am proud of the man you became and am so grateful that you are mine. I am thankful for your faith and courage. You inspire many, and I am blessed to have you in my life. I love you, son. You are not far away. You are here by my side. I know we can do this together till eternity.

- Your loving Mum
