Ellen May Heuser 94, passed away peacefully at home in her sleep, March 5th 2024.

She was born Feb 12th 1930 to Fred and Maud Stephenson in Greeley Colorado, but was raised in Long Beach California. At the age of 18, she moved to Salt Lake City, Utah and married Joesph R Sorensen in the Salt Lake Temple, and had 8 children. Later divorced, she married Mickey Callisto, whom she had her last baby boy with. Later divorced, she married Glen E Heuser.

She worked and retired from the Salt Lake City School District food service. She enjoyed her time at West High School and Jackson Elementary School, making her famous cinnamon rolls and peanut butter squares. She loved fishing, camping, traveling , golf , but most of all she was an avid bowler where she competed in many state tournament’s that allowed her travel as far as New York City.

She is survived by her children, Mike (Renu) Sorensen Marsha Fuller, Steven (Pam) Sorensen, Peggy (Dee) Hatfield, David Sorensen, Pat (Rob) Galbraith, Gordon (Mary) Sorensen, Pete (Jerusha) Callisto. Step daughter Barbara (Jose) Uribe , 27 grandchildren , 55 great grandchildren , 14 great great grandchildren. And many friends through out the years. She is proceeded in death by , her parents , brother Darrell Stephenson , sister betty Swan , husband glen , son Kenneth dee Sorensen , grandsons Daniel Riggs and Chad Sorensen, grandson in law Jason Jeppson, great grandchildren , Katrina and Kyler .

She loved living in the mountains in Fruitland, Utah. She has a beautiful home that she could watch the humming birds feed, bluebirds nest in her bird house on the deck , and the deer in the front yard . she enjoyed when family and friends would come up and stay and camp , bonfires , riding 4 wheelers, and side x sides, and just hanging out. Mom loved spending time with family and friends , she loved all gatherings. Christmas was one of her favorite holidays where she was excited to see all the kids and great grandkids . she loved all of her children , great grandchildren and great great grandchildren equally . She will be greatly missed by all the knew her.

The family would like to thank Dr Christensen of Heber Valley Hospital, and Canyon Hospice for keeping her comfortable in her last days.

A viewing will be held Saturday march 16th 2024 from 11 am to 1 pm at Larkin Mortuary , 260 East South Temple, SLC, Utah 84111 . Graveside services to be determined at a later date.
