We say goodbye for now to Stanley Ganczak. He was born in Posen, Illinois on July 7th, 1923. He passed away peacefully at his home in West Jordan, Utah on July 26th, 2019 at the age of 96 where he was surrounded by loved ones. Stan, (Pops, Daddy, DaDa, Grandpa) was a wonderfully kind, gentle and loving man. He was a WW-2 Veteran and he regularly attended the Midvalley Bible Church. He was an Industrial Engineer and a Tool and Die Maker. He married Margaret Scott Smith on June 16th, 1979 in Taylorsville, Utah and they enjoyed 40 wonderful years and many adventures together. Stan loved to go fishing, hunting, golfing and camping. He spent many summer hours gardening. His garden was his peaceful place. He loved to travel and enjoyed cruising to various locations. He and Margaret got the opportunity to travel to Poland in 2002 to visit his mother's home and meet family that he had never known. He loved his children and grandchildren very much and looked forward to the two times each year that he traveled to see them. When a new child was born into our family Stan gave each one of them their own unique and special nickname. They loved that!
Stan is survived by his loving wife, Margaret Scott Ganczak, Children: Yolanda Mai, Iris (James) Thurler, Roxanne (Todd) Putnam, Stanley-" Teny" (Sherry) Ganczak and Melissa (Doug) Crocker, and his stepchildren Corey Smith, Eric Smith, Karen (Blake) Christensen and Jenny (Tim) Lowe. He also had 29 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his Parents, Stanley Peter Ganczak and Mary Catherine Dyjak Ganczak, brother and sister-in-law Felix (Gertrude) Ganczak, his daughter, Adonica (Cliff) Peck, stepson Christopher Scott Smith, and two great granddaughters Isabella Noelle Melton and Allison Faith Neilsen.
As we say goodbye, we say "Okie Dokie and Ja Cie Kocham Stan", You are loved and will be greatly missed. May you rest in peace.
