Katherine Stoddard, beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother, 102, passed away February 20, 2018 at her home in Salt Lake City. Born January 11, 1916, Baggs, Wyoming, the daughter of Charles Rowland and Annie Belle Fleming Benson. She married Theo Wilson Stoddard, October 1. 1940 in the Salt Lake Temple.
She served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in California. She also served a Stake Mission with her husband in Downey, Idaho. She served in many church callings. She had many talents, sewing, quilting, crochet, knitting, and not afraid to use a saw and hammer in other projects. She was known for her cooking skills. Her homemade bread and rolls, cakes, candy and dinners were always a feast.
She is survived by Katherine Ovena Einzinger, Clay E. Stoddard and DonnaVoy Sorenson, (Kirk), 8 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and 15 great great grandchildren. Preceded in death by 4 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild, 3 sisters and 2 brothers.
Funeral service will be held Saturday, March 3rd 10:00 at Waterloo Ward, 1623 South 500 East. Viewing at 9:00 to 9:45 prior to the funeral.
