Ernest George Wake, 79, passed away peacefully on April 30, 2026, with his wife, Bette, by his side. He was born on March 6, 1947, in Hailey, Idaho, to George and Ruth Wake, alongside his twin sister, Eileen.
He graduated from Orem High School in 1965 and proudly served in the United States Army in Germany. Ernest was a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and loved the Lord deeply.
He is survived by his loving wife, Bette; his children, Melissa (Rich) Ruesch and Phillip (Becka) Maughan; and his eight cherished grandchildren: Hailey, Audrey, Jake, and Ellie Ruesch; and Katelyn, Ethan, Abby, and Brooke Maughan. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law, and sisters-in-law: Vicki (Tom) of California, Jodi (Bill) of Utah, John (Char) of Washington, Richard (Linda) of Florida, and Dennis Winger of Utah.
He was preceded in death by his beloved grandson, Dylan, and his nephew, Joshua.
We would like to thank Valencia Assisted Living and Hospice for their loving care and compassion. Memorial services have been held.
