Eros Hunsaker Frary, 99, passed away peacefully Sunday, May 28, 2023, at the Legacy of Provo, in Provo, Utah.

Eros was born in Brigham City, Utah, on August 22,1923 to the late William Noble Hunsaker and Ellen Marianne Carter. She grew up on a farm, and until she was five years old, they didn’t have electricity, inside plumbing or heating.

Eros married Richard (Dick)Spencer Frary in July of 1946 in Billings, MT. They were later sealed in the Logan LDS Temple. They first met at Utah State where Eros was a student and Dick was a handsome, young Marine in uniform taking some special training classes. It was love at first sight. They celebrated their 67th wedding anniversary the year he passed away.

Eros graduated from Utah State and taught school in Washington before starting her family in Colorado. This was the first of over 20 places she lived in her lifetime. Dick's career took them to Redondo Beach and Novato, CA; Dallas and El Paso TX; Melbourne, FL; Cherry Hill, NJ; Burnsville, MN; Holladay, UT; Devon, PA; Chicago, IL; Falls Church, VA; and back to their favorite place-Holladay, UT. It was the church and those friendships that made each move a little bit easier for her.

Eros held many positions as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, including President of the Primary and Relief Society. Her most rewarding position was working at the Holladay Health Center for five years with the seniors. She truly led a life of service. She was a great example to her family and all who knew her.

She was an excellent seamstress and loved making quilts. Eros was tech savvy well into her 9o's, making her own greeting cards and doing her genealogy work online. She played board games and Scrabble with all the grandkids. She also supported each of them in their interests.

She loved sports! Up until she passed you could find Eros in her blue recliner rooting on one of her favorite teams, the Kansas City Chiefs, the Jazz or the BYU Cougars. Besides the gospel, Eros loved reading and playing golf. Eros had two passions, golf and reading. One of the highlights of her life was playing at Torrey Pines in La Jolla, CA with her husband. She had a hole in one at a course in southern Utah.

Eros is survived by her four children: Richard (Irene) Spencer Frary Jr. of Vero Beach, FL, Lorraine (Joseph, deceased) Lee Ellen Lundskog of San Diego, CA, John (Cheri) Kevin Frary of Findlay, OH, and James (Linda) Carter Frary of Provo, UT. Eros is a proud grandmother of 18 and a great-grandmother of 22. Eros is preceded in death by her siblings: Frank (Arliss Bradbury) Hunsaker, Wynn (Mernus Mary Christensen) Noble Hunsaker, Dora (William) Manees, Nina (Harry Fix) Taylor, and Maybell (Wendell Theo) Bradbury.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, June 5, 2023, at the Holladay 8th Ward, 5450 South Holladay Blvd, Salt Lake City, UT. A viewing will be held from 10:00-11:00 am prior to the services. Online condolences welcomed at www.larkincares.com.

Eros was so kind and would make me smile! She was a loyal friend. I had the privilege of knowing her for 5 and a half years. I'm glad for the time we had together. I hope she gets to play golf in heaven and is happy in her new estate. Love you Eros!!
