Esther Orlynn Wilkerson

1946 ~ 2023

Esther Orlynn Wilkerson (Our Guardian Angel), age 76, passed away April 20, 2023, in Springville, UT. She was born June 9, 1946, to Orville Julius Flippo and Mary Marie Beal in Salt Lake City, Utah. Esther was the oldest of 2 children. She was raised in Utah, where she attended and graduated from Granite High School.

While attending 9th grade, she met the love of her life, Mark Wilkerson. She married him August 13, 1968. Together, they raised 3 boys, Tex, Jason, and Toby. She was an amazing, loving, and devoted military wife and mother. She had her hands full chasing all her boys around. She was a wonderful grandmother to 9 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She had a big and loving family and did everything she could to spread love and joy to everyone to brighten their lives. Her family was her life.

She ran a daycare out of her home. She loved taking care of children. The sound of kids running and playing loudly brought so much joy to her. Her grandchildren’s fondest memory was when they would cuddle up with her in her chair before falling asleep on her belly.

She is reunited with the love of her life, her soulmate, her entire world. She had waited for him once before and now he’s no longer waiting for her, Mark Wilkerson, who had passed July 18, 2021.

Esther is survived by her 3 sons and their beautiful families: Tex (LaDawn) and their son Brandon (Kaylee); Jason (Sara) and their daughters Charlin (Mike)-4 children (Haiden, Lilly, Khloe & Abigail), Teresa (Joe)-3 children (Sophia, Bentley & Zachary), Laura (Julian)-5 children (Jaxon, Daylee, Knightley, Jasmine & Christian); Toby and his 4 children Camie, Garrett, Gracie, and Jake.

She is preceded in death by the love of her life and war hero Mark, her parents, and her oldest granddaughter Brittany (Sissy).

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, April 28, 2023, at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 E. Dimple Dell Rd., Sandy, UT. A viewing will be held prior to services from 12:30pm to 1:30pm.

Interment will Follow at Larkin Sunset Gardens Cemetery.
