Myron Francis Grimaud

1933 ~ 2015

Passed away on February 20, 2015 in Salt Lake City, Utah at the age of 81 of quick moving lung cancer. He was born July 16, 1933 to Armand and Lucile Grimaud in Blackfoot Idaho. Moe served in the Army during the Korean War and was honored to do so. He retired from Kennecott Copper Mine as an electrician. He had several other opportunities using his gifts as well.

Moe's great loves were his son, Shawn and his parrot Buddy. Moe loved his work as an electrician for his whole career. He enjoyed his roses and gardens every year. He was definitely a flower man! His roses are a sight to behold. His work at the Fraternal Order of Eagles was an exalted time for Moe. He was a man you could ask for anything and he'd be right there helping and creating. Moe could build anything including houses, buildings and bird toys. Moe was a man of honor and strength. He had a heart of gold and didn't want everyone to know it. He will be sorely missed by those who loved him, especially Shawn and Buddy.

He is survived by his son Shawn, his bird Buddy, his amazing friend Bob Paco Mendez, his caring brother Harold Grimaud, stepchildren JR Green (Steve) and Randy Rees (Maria), step grandchildren, numerous brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews and many, many friends and neighbors. He was preceded in death by his wife Gloria Keeler Grimaud in 1978 and his step daughter Sheri Rees in 1976.

A funeral service will be held at 2 pm Saturday, February 28, 2015 at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 E. 10600 S. Sandy, with a visitation prior from 12:30 to 1:30 pm. Interment to follow the funeral service with a military graveside service.
