George Roland Fawson

1921 ~ 2013

Our beloved father, grandfather, great grandfather and brother passed away peacefully in his home December 8, 2013. He was born in Salt Lake City, Utah October 29, 1921 to Charles Fay and Mary Blanche Fiddler Fawson. He was preceded in death by his eternal sweetheart, Arlene Walker Fawson. They were married September 15, 1947 and later sealed in the Manti Temple. He was married to his \"beautiful brown eyed beauty\" for 66 years.

Preceded in death by 2 granddaughters Stacey and Lindsey Fawson, and 1 grandson Ryan McCune. He is survived by his children Pat Dial, Brent (Debbie) Fawson, and Lynn (Vickie) Fawson, 12 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Also survived by his sister Donna Phillips and brothers Theo, Wayne and Jay Fawson.

Dad was a WWII Veteran. He served in the Navy in the Pacific Theatre. He served our country honorably and we are all very proud of him. He loved and raised horses. He loved hunting. He was always working on cars and repairing them for family and friends. He retired from Utah State Parks and Recreation, a job he very much enjoyed.

He served in many callings in the LDS church and was a faithful servant of the Lord until the end. His testimony of the Savior and the Book of Mormon strengthened many testimonies. We all knew he loved the Lord.

He loved his family and they always brought him great joy. He will be deeply missed. We love you Dad!
