We now say goodbye to our loving mother, wife, grandmother, and friend, Elin. She was born on December 30, 1943 in Washington, D.C. and she passed away peacefully on July 26, 2016 after a short battle with pneumonia and a long and healthy life.
Elin will surely be remembered for her contagious laughter and uncanny ability to bring out laughing fits in others. She loved going on adventures with her husband of 43 years, Ragnar. Together, they gave support and love to each other. Her kids, Matthew and Natalie (Kate), enjoyed making her laugh so hard she would let out a little snort. Her family will always remember her cackling for hours with her sisters, Mary (Harry), Kathy (Doug), and Barbara (Chas). Her two grandkids, Alexander Quinn and Katie, made her happier than anything else in this world. She loved seeing them smile and be silly. She was a fun-loving aunt to her nieces and nephews, Travis (daughter Ashleigh), Melissa, Jen (Dave, sons: Charlie, Sam, Jack), Lisa, Tim (Stephanie, son Huckleberry), Mic (Kate), and Nicole (Joe, kids: Judah, Jubilee, and Haley). Elin worked in the Meat Department at Ream's Foods for close to 30 years, having made many friends with her coworkers and customers.
Elin's favorites included Elvis, chocolate, and collecting things to make her own old-time country store in the basement. She brought joy into the lives of her children, grandchildren, and sisters. Elin will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.
Services will be held on Saturday, July 30th, 2016 at Mt. Tabor Lutheran Church at 3:00pm. 175 S 700 E, Salt Lake City, UT 84102.
