Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather Andy Anderson passed away February 16, 2014 from causes incident to age. He was born to Oscar and Ebba Anderson on July 8, 1925. Married Betty Jean Altop, later divorced. Married Helen R. Peterson on May 27, 1967, later solemnized in the LDS temple. Andy was a WWII Navy veteran, having joined right after Pearl Harbor, and was honorably discharged after the war. He was an active member of the SLC Moose Lodge, where he served as Governor. He worked in the home improvement industry. During retirement Andy and Helen travelled extensively throughout the US with the Moose Camper Club. In 1996 they built a home in Delta on the shore of the Gunnison Bend Reservoir, where they lived the last 18 years. Andy was preceded in death by his parents, brother Dick, daughters Rosemary, Julie and sons Scott, Steve Willden and Lane Tonnesen. Survived by wife Helen, sister Kym Anderson, daughters Ann (Don) Fay, Kathy (Michael) Brown, and Cher (Greg) Morgan, sons Dennis (Kaylene) Anderson, Darrell Anderson, Don (Paula) Peterson and Wally Peterson. Also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The family would like to thank the Millard Care and Rehab, Sandy Health and Rehab and One Care Hospice for their loving care.
Graveside services will be held at 12:30pm on Saturday, February 22, 2014 at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 East Dimple Dell Road (10600 South) in Sandy. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the services. Online condolences welcomed at www.larkincares.com.
