Carol Ann Myers Holbrook Kendall, beloved mother, daughter, sister and friend, died February 13, 2015, of complications from cancer and Crohn's Disease.
Carol was born May 29, 1962, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Allan J. and Renate Wesemann Myers. As the only sister among six brothers, she grew up playing sports, camping in American Fork Canyon and motorcycle riding in Cedar Fort. Diagnosed with Crohn's Disease as a teenager, Carol maintained a positive attitude and always worked hard despite surgeries, complications, hardships and pain. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and planning family gatherings. She loved her family deeply and lived a life of kindness. She was fiercely devoted to her sons.
Carol graduated from Murray High School in 1980. She worked for Crossland Mortgage/First Security Bank for nearly 20 years and then for the Utah State Department of Recovery Services for 14 years where she made many friends. Married Gary Holbrook in 1981. Later divorced. Married Dean Kendall in 1998. Later divorced.
Carol is survived by her sons Aaron Holbrook and John Kendall, mother Renate Myers, brothers Gary (Connie), Ron, John (Pam) and Steve (Stacey) Myers, numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Preceded in death by her father and brothers Dennis and Gordon.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at Larkin Sunset Lawn, 2350 East 1300 South, Salt Lake City. Friends and family may call one hour prior to the services. Interment Larkin Sunset Lawn. Online condolences welcomed at www.larkincares.com.
