Fay Hubbard Nilsson

1921 ~ 2023

Fay Hubbard Nilsson, 101 years old, passed away on November 14, 2023, in Lehi, Utah. She was born on December 27, 1921, in Brigham City, Utah to William Charles Hubbard and Elfy Almira Davis Hubbard. Wife of the late Sven O. Nilsson, who passed away in 2002.
Beloved Mother of 12 Children and Grandmother to over 100 grandchildren and great-grandchildren

Fay was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints throughout her life and had a deep love for the Savior Jesus Christ. She taught her children to always do the right thing and to be a good example to others.

Fay worked many jobs to provide for her family. Most recently, she worked in the Human Resources department of the U.S. Postal Service in Salt Lake City, Utah until she was almost 90 years old. When she retired, her co-workers gave her three separate retirement parties to honor her friendship and dedicated service!

Fay loved everyone and it was easy to become one of her friends. She was always thinking of others and how to serve them. She loved to make beautiful hand-stitched, custom quilts and Cabbage Patch dolls, and then give them away as a cherished gift to family, friends, or someone in need. She was the salt of the Earth and will be forever remembered for her genuine love, compassion, and generosity.

We love you Mother and can’t wait to be reunited again when it’s our time (as you say) to “Graduate” from this mortal life to immortality and eternal life in the mansions above that have been prepared for us. Until that glorious day, God be with you Mother ‘till we meet again! We Love You Mom!

Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 20, 2023, at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 East Dimple Dell Road, Sandy, Utah. Viewings will be held on Sunday, November 19, 2023, at Larkin Sunset Gardens from the hours of 6:00 – 8:00 PM and prior to services from 9:30 – 10:45 AM. Interment to follow at Larkin Sunset Gardens.

Guestbook/Condolences

Fay was always, always kind and so soft spoken! She was an example of love and so generous to so many. As we say in our Greek Orthodox Faith, May Her Memory be Eternal, and she will be remembered and I will always remember her.

I miss seeing Fay when I worked at the Postal Service. She always had a smile and a kind word. The world needs more people like her.

Sorry to hear that Fay died last year. If we knew we would of gone to the funeral. She was a good woman.
