Sieglinde Erika Freimann Jaenisch

1937 ~ 2018

Meine Mutterlein, Sieglinde Erika Freimann Jaenisch passed away peacefully at home in her daughter\s arms at the age of 81 on October 6, 2018. Sieglinde was born on January 2, 1937 in Koenigsberg, Germany to Alfred Ernest and Charlotte Johanna Pokern Freimann. During World War II in 1944, her family was forced to leave Koenigsberg and ended up living on the island Foehr from 1945-1951. Her family moved once again to Bielefeld, Germany and lived there from 1951-1956. Her family then immigrated to the United States in 1956. On June 29, 1962 she married Klaus-Peter Jaenisch in the Salt Lake Temple (later divorced). Together they had three children, Holger, Ditmar, and Monique.

Sieglinde loved to laugh and have a good time. She loved to travel and spent many summer vacations in Lake Tahoe with her family, her brother's family and her parents. Later in years, her favorite vacation spot was Las Vegas with her daughter Monique and granddaughter Kalaya.

Sieglinde loved to go every week to Lagoon and Gardner Village with her daughter and 2 granddaughters, Kalaya and Natasha especially at Halloween time. Her favorite rides were the Merry Go Round, Tea Cups and Odyssey. She loved to spend time with her family. She enjoyed music and going to all German functions and she had a great love of the Opera and Symphony. She loved wearing bright colorful dresses and loved to shop for dresses for all occasions, most department stores knew her by name.

Sieglinde will be dearly missed by her daughter, Monique. We spent many years together as a loving mother and daughter looking out for each other, laughing and making memories. These memories will be cherished by me and never forgotten. As a baby, I was in her arms and when she passed away, she was in my arms. A priceless gift from our Heavenly Father.

Survived by her loving daughter, Monique, son Holger (Kristi), brother Gerd (Helga) Freimann, daughter in law Dianna, 3 grandsons : Falco (Lauren), Marcel, Marcus; 4 granddaughters: Daeneka (Travis) Cottle, Katarina, Natasha, Kalaya; 1 great grandchild to be born in May 2019.
