1934 ~ 2026
Our Sweet Mother, Grandma, Great Grandma (GG), and Aunt took her last earthly breath on April 25, 2026, and joined her husband, Ralph Louis Wolters, who preceded her in death over 20 years ago. Florence married Ralph on April 19, 1957, in the Salt Lake Temple. She was devoted to her family and hosted delightful extended family parties and many Sunday dinners for her children and grandchildren. She served in many positions in the LDS Church, including Relief Society President, Counselor in the Primary, and Gospel Doctrine teacher. She volunteered as a docent at the Church History Museum and served in the Salt Lake Temple for many years. Her family members were always on her mind, and she was always interested in what and how everyone was doing. She is survived by her daughter, Anne Wolters, her son, R. Scott Wolters (Lynda), 7 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, & 2 step great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph, her parents, her half brothers, Nelson and Marvin Lundwall, and her grandson, David Adams. Florence’s family would like to especially thank Rachel Reynolds, RN/CHPN, her hospice nurse, who was able to not only make sure she was comfortable but listened to Mom’s review of her memories from the past, and to Amber Johnson, RN who took over her nursing care and comfort when she moved to Hearthstone Manor in Spanish Fork. We would also like to thank Jaclyn Piper-Williams, APRN, who was so skilled at managing Mom’s pain and heart failure symptoms. To each nurse & aide who helped her, we are grateful. Mom loved Claudia’s massages and the visits from Alan and Sara. We were so impressed with the fine care Mom received by all of the Hearthstone Manor caregivers as well.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 2, 2026, at 11 AM at the Stake Center, 3153 S 900 E in SLC, UT 84105. A viewing will be held prior to the funeral at 10:00 AM. Florence will be buried next to her husband, Ralph, at Wasatch Lawn Cemetery in Millcreek. Services will be streamed, you may attend by clicking "watch services."
One of many treasured memories of Aunt Florence is the times I got to see her when we were serving in the temple together.
My deepest condolences to Scott and Anne for your loss. Aunt Florence was a sweet soul who possessed the pure love of Christ. She accepted me with open arms when I lived with the Wolters many years ago. She was my second mom! I love her and know she is happy with her sweet husband Uncle Ralph.
May the Lord bless and keep you in your time of sorrow, for in Him, ALL things will be made anew.
To: Anne, Scott and Family.
What a blessing it was growing up in a neighborhood with people like Florence and Ralph Wolters! Your mother and father were like second parents to me. Your mom was the epitome of love, kindness and consideration. My mind is flooded with memories of growing up on Charlton Avenue with Florence as a role model and influence for good on the Sandberg boys, Neil and Craig. Life was much simpler then, but having good friends that we could play softball with in the vacant field across the street or playing tennis against the outside wall of the church, life was good and I have been made a better person for knowing and being influenced your mom and family. I extend my love and deepest condolences during this time of sadness but also of rejoicing and of great reunions on the other side of the veil. I'm sure you're mom and dad are so happy to be reunited, along with countess other family members. Thanks for your friendship over the years and may you all receive comfort and peace during this sacred time in which we celebrate the life of your mom. Take care and my love to you all! Craig
My condolences to you and your families.
I will always remember my dear friend and neighbor for many years. I admired her very much for many reasons… she always kept a beautiful home and yard. I especially appreciated her sharing the wonderful pears from her yard.
I know she is in a happy place together with her husband Ralph.
So sorry about your lose Ann. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your Family.
