Obituary

Florence Ann (Ediger) Reynolds was born on November 6, 1939, in Dallas, Oregon to George and Frieda Ediger. She grew up in Perrydale, graduating from Perrydale High School in 1958. Furthering her education, she completed courses at Merritt Davis Business School in Salem and worked as a secretary before marrying Dale Reynolds in 1960. Together they had five children: Doug, Dennis, Debra, Daniel and Dianna. Though busy keeping her household running smoothly, she made time to grow and preserve fruits and vegetables, determined to keep her pantry well-stocked.

After her divorce from Dale, Florence had a long career with the State of Oregon as a caseworker in the welfare department. In retirement, she immediately turned her attention to her passion - crocheting. Family, friends, expectant mothers and charities all became recipients of her beautiful and cherished creations - blankets, scarves, caps, potholders; the list goes on- and how her fingers flew!

Grandchildren were Florence's other passion. She had 18 of them, followed by 17 great-grandchildren, and even two great-great grandchildren! She loved hosting family gatherings and especially doting on all those kids.

Florence loved the beach and visited it whenever she had the chance. She had the opportunity to live there for a few years, a very enjoyable time for her.

She moved to Salt Lake City, Utah in 2022 to live with her son. After a short illness, she passed away peacefully on June 1, 2026, at the age of 86.

Florence was preceded in death by both parents, infant sister Clare Belle, sister Donna, brother Robert, son Dennis and stepson Eric. She is survived by brother Norman, sister Jean, sons Doug and Daniel, daughters Debra and Dianna, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Huntsman Cancer Institute in Salt Lake City in memory of her son Dennis..
